Your PC as a Photo Viewer

Your PC can be a photo viewer. Your computer offers you many digital photo views of which you may not be aware. Now that you have some photos downloaded onto a specific folder on your computer's hard disc, you will want to view these pictures.

Watch the video or scroll down the page to learn about this topic.

First go to the My Pictures Folder

My Pictures

This will open the folder with your already created sub-folders.

maximise the window

Click the centre button on the top right hand side to maximise the window. This makes viewing more comfortable.

your folders

Double click the folder with the photos you wish to view. Now go to View and about one third way down the menu list you will see the viewing options. Select Filmstrip. This is an excellent way to preview an individual photo.

Next try View  and Thumbnails. This one is excellent if you would like to select one photo to view but you have many in the folder from which to select.

Therefore, the first thing we do before we import a set of digital pictures is set up a folder into which we will put them. These folders will be our digital photo albums

After you set up your folders, it's time to download digital photos you have taken and store them for sorting and viewing

With your photos downloaded to your folder, you will want to view them. You can use your computer as a photo viewer

There are a number of programs that you will regularly use to view and edit your photos. You will need to create desktop shortcuts to these programs. This avoids having to go Start / All Programs and then select the program each time you need it. Learn how to create desktop shortcuts
